Elliot was raised in the hills of the Diablo Range overlooking Hollister, CA. His family settled at the French ranch in 1871 and it is there where the horses are born, raised, and bucked. Elliot began entering high school and amateur rodeos at age 16 and filled his PRCA permit once in college at Cal Poly.
In the PRCA, he stayed mainly in the California circuit making it to numerous California Circuit Finals and was awarded two trips to the National Circuit Finals Rodeo. His biggest win came at the Days of ’47 rodeo in Salt Lake City, UT.
Since taking time away from riding broncs, Elliot and his wife, Emily, have been growing their company Slash Cross Bucking Horses, LLC. They have two young daughters that they will raise the best way they know how: on the back of a horse taking care of the animals on the ranch.
